You are considered a child until you are an adult (adolescent is still a child). You are not an adult until you are 18. Does this mean that you are not held accountable in God's eyes for your sins until you can make an adult decision?

no....according to my religion, we consider only till 8 years as innocent, we believe after 8 years they develope the sense to identify which is correct and which is wrong so their intension and work can be judge from that age - and, the good dids and sins started count from that age.

18? thats the law of country...its not applicable for the creator.

No. You can most assuredly be accountable to God long before you are what the world calls an adult.

But you know what? Your question using contracts as an illustration is most interesting. Covenants between God and people were actually bilateral contracts – such as the one between the nation of Israel and Yahweh. Each side had a role to play. Interestingly enough, Jesus himself made a contract (covenant) with some for a throne in the heavens. The interesting part is that every single person is not in the contract. Only a select few.

No. God is not bound by human contracts and human age of consent. There are children who have understood they were sinners on their own, as early as age 5. So I believe age accountability is on a per child basis, not at a fixed age like society uses.

The fixed age thing isn't always good or fair, and since God is perfect and just, then surely God has something better. Some may be responsible and able to drive at age 14, others might not reach that point until well into their 20's. However, the government says 16.

No. In God's eyes, you are accountable once you're old enough to understand the plan of Salvation. That might vary, depending upon the child. Obviously some children are more advanced than others.

I was 6 years old when I was saved. I had understood about God and the plan of Salvation for some time prior to that. That was my "age of accountability".

Obviously a person doesn't have to be 18, or an adult, to understand about God.

from the moment you are able to differentiate between right and wrong is the moment that you are now accountable for your every action. and Heaven is by no stretch of the means a legally binding contract, if you think that, you are truly ignorant. and Divine law (God's word) is way above laws made by man (i.e the age of 18 rule) So in other words, you are always held accountable

No because God did not say 'Thou must be 18 to except me as your God'. The law Say's you have to be 18 to enter a legal human contract, God is above the law.

There is an age of accountability I believe....

What that age is depends on the maturity of the individual person. If you were raised in a Christian household, then obviously that age will be less than a person who was not raised that way.
