as warm & fuzzy as athiests are here, I can see how in comparison Christians are. 1st of all it was just a stupid question that implies Christians are gangsters (which would include robbers, murder, drugs, etc...sorry, dont mean to offend any street gangsters) and support & justify the lifestyle. None of which is true.
Just because one belives in God, in what ever way they do, doesnt make them a follower of any certain religion. Why do you attempt to call out Christians? Why was the question not a "religious person" or a Muslim, Budhist, Jew? Athiests just means that you dont believe in the existance of God. Christian means which religion you are following, as does Jewish, Hindu or Muslim.
So you set up a question intending to offend a specific group of people that you know are around, then act shocked when they are offended. Sounds like you are just a moron!
And just because a "gangster" (I guess his name is probably Muggsy), believes that God exists (in what ever fashion he does), does not mean he is following the direct teachings of his faith. How does commiting a crime make a Christian an athiest? By your own words, that means all athiests are criminals and "gangsters"
Did you know that Jews, Muslims, Hindus, etc... and including athiests also commit crimes? Christians are not the ones who corner the market on that. At least as an athiest you can at least say you have no values to follow, of what right & wrong is!

As others have responded, questions seem to disappear for no reason. But that doesn't automatically mean that it was deleted by a Christian.
The gangster can claim himself to be Christian because 1) he believes in Jesus Christ; 2) commits himself to follow Him; and/or 3) he was baptized as Christian. He may be Christian by name only, or he may be a Christian inside. If he's embracing hatred, he's not thinking and behaving in a Christian way. He may be sinning and not knowing that this is not a Christian way to be. If he learned that this is not a Christian way and yet, still persists in doing so against Jesus's teachings, then he has a serious issue that will be against him on the Judgement day. Him being Christian will be in vain (i.e. on the surface only and have no real value).
There are sheeps and goats. Although they all follow the same sheppard, some will be gone astray and will be cast out. It's not up to us to judge.

Are you going to generalize all christians because your question was deleted? I don't generalize all atheists/agnostics because I was ridiculed and segregated in school because I had a belief.
Yes, many Christians act before they think. But you can't attach characteristics to a label. It won't apply to everyone that carries that label. The label is just that. It's a word. Not all Christians are the same.
And to answer your original question, I don't see how a street gangster could honestly claim to be a Christian. It seems contradictory. Of course, anyone can claim to be Christian. These days, it seems like a popular thing to do. I'd like to shoot every hypocrite Christian in the foot (including myself) and tell them to quit giving Christianity a bad name.

Thats kinda hateful. Why does your hypothetical person have to be a street gangster? I would argue that is he claimed to be Christian and hated anyone, then he wasnt really a Christian and was just deceived. Thusly, he belongs in a cult and not a religion.
If it makes you feel any better, I asked where the word "human" came from and it was removed also!

It's a great question; Christians and Atheists alike, I think, would want nothing to do with a person like that.
Just the existence of someone who would want that question deleted, then, was enough to prove your point; I'm willing to bet (edit: and was right) that there were quite a few Christians distancing themselves from the morons who deleted your question since I started writing this answer.

I've had stuff deleted... I think it may be a glitch or something.
But to answer your question, Once saved always saved. If a gangster claims that he is a Christian and is sinning, it's no worse than me getting angry at traffic in God's eyes. I'm no better, I guess I mean. Sin is sin is sin... But the bible says that we cannot be plucked from the Savior's hands.
Just because he's not being a very good witness doesn't make him any less saved.

As a Biblical, born-again Christian, I can tell you categorically that this street gangster is only "christian" by name only, which doesn't count for anything. It's kinda like the points on "Whose Line Is It, Anyway".
A Christian is commanded to love everyone. Jesus even said, "They shall know you are my disciples by your love." Period!
And, by the way, I'm sorry your question was deleted, but don't automatically blame Christians.

Yes. It shows that over 2 billion people ganged up on you with evil intent to remove your question. We are all wicked. Now you know.
Obviously someone didn't like it and reported. Who knows why? Are you sure it was a Christian? I doubt that you are.
God Bless.
