All of the fish that inhabit northern waters are subject to sub freezing temperatures as the seasons change..Some require the cold to undergo spawning migrations and some require it to keep their bodies properly regulated...But you can land any fish in the snow thats stocked or migratory for the most part unless a major freeze precludes such...

very cold? salmon like mid 30's, low 40's. trout like at least 45 and at the most 70.
