oDepending on the restoration material used, $80 - $140.

There is a great variability depending on where you live. Here in Massachusetts we are on the high end, my fillings are between 165-425 per tooth depending on size and location.
If costs are important and you live in or near a larger city, check out the local hospital. Many have advanced post grad programs for dentists, GPR or AEGD programs that are in reality a dental office that happens to be in the hospital. The rates are generally less and the care is usually at a high level. These are recent dental school grads but they still have some supervision.

That varies depending on the dentist, the area, and the state but around $100-$150 if you go reasonably cheap.

However, most communities have a free or sliding scale clinic that take care of those without insurance or those on a limited income.

A quick resource to finding out what is available to low income residents, contact any non-profit agency aimed at helping families with low income (ie. Help me Grow or even the Chamber of Commerce online, or especially your Health Department and you might be able to find this out online).

You might be surprised at what's available to you. In our area, the homeless shelters actually have spaces open where individuals can move out on their own and would be only required to pay 1/3rd of rent and deposit for x number of years. It's not a loan, it's a gift. The government pays the rest.

A lot of people use it to help them get on their feet.

A good indication of whether or not you have a free or sliding scale is whether or not a lot of your area has a lot of poverty or if there are a lot of immigrants. Illegal aliens try to go to clinics that deal with cash-only, have sliding scales based on income, and don't ask a lot of questions.

Hope this helps.

Depends on where you go. Each dentist has their own fees. It also depends on what tooth, how many surfaces need to be filled etc. For my office, we charge between 150-400.00 to have a tooth filled ranging from a simple small cavity to a deeper, large filling.

I recently got ten (!) fillings --and my teeth still hurt-- anyway, fillings are about 130-150 a piece w/o insurance.

Do a search online for dental care for poor in your area. If you do not mind applying, many times you can get free dental work. No cosmetic dental work though.
