I ask this because a few minutes ago, I asked a reasonable, polite question: Christians: can you back your religious beliefs with any book other than the bible?
If so, please list

One person said they dont have to and dont want to, another said that commentaries supporting xianity are out there..and the other believer said its just common sense.

Not one of them answered the question. What does that say about them and their beliefs?

Not all of them, but some of them. I think most religious people know very little about other religions than their own. They don't study or read up on other religions and other views and they can't be bothered to really dig deep through sources to find out more about their own religion and the credibility of their religious scriptures. It's weird how many of them are even ignorant about their own religion and about the things that are written in the scriptures they base their beliefs and whole life on.

I think the problem is with your question. The fact is as a Christian the Bible is the basis of our faith. A true Christian believes it totally. I don't see the need to base my Christianity on any thing else or back it with anything else. In fact if my foundation is anything but the Word then it is a faulty foundation.

I also have to say in my short time here the atheists and non-believers have tended to be more bigoted.

It's the "My way or the highway", "Good or Evil, nothing in between" inflexible that turns me off religion. I know not every religious person is that way, but religion inherently is.
