And how do you feel if someone hates you ? What do you think God think about hatred ? Why God says that it is the wrong thing to hate, He is teaching us to love, even enemies. When you hate someone a bitter root will be in your soul and it won't be free. It will be upsetting you so long, how much time you will be remembering an offense. There are many people who are doing evil, terrorists, bandits, swindlers and so on. By having in our heart only hatred we can not do many good thing. We must love and first of all to love brothers, good people. We need to support each other and unite. So we can get more and more power and to overcome evil of this world. Don't think what will happen to you. So think evil people . If nothing happens to them they think that they will not be punished. They are mistaken. Think better how to do more good things and you will not need to think what will happen to you. You will be free and more happy. I answered more then you asked, but I think it will help you.

Hatred is a lot like love. Both have the potential to motivate. Both can change you, for the better or the worse. And both can leave you with a broken heart. To live your life never hating others is to deny the true human spirit. All of you out there can't honestly tell me that you don't hate anybody? I HATE neo-nazis, skinheads and white supremists. I've been in 2 fist fights (both times with a neo-nazi). If anything, hatred assures that you don't let your guard down.

Though hate and anger have the potential to lead to harm to others, for the most part, they primarily cause suffering to the person feeling them. Thus, if you hate someone, it is certain you will experience suffering and unhappiness as the result of that, whether or not it eventually leads to actions against the object or objects of your hate, which would of course then lead to more suffering for both you and them.

Hate is generally the manifestation of uncertainty or fear -- perhaps addressing the underlying feelings that lead to hate may help you address the real issues behind it. Love is a feeling of inclusion and expansion; hate creates exclusion and constriction. The more one loves, the happier one is; the happier one is, the less likely they are to hate. So, in short, if you hate, what will happen to you? You'll experience unhappiness and be the originator / perpetuator of your unhappiness. The good news? You are free to stop the self-perpetuating cycle of suffering by addressing the protective, defensive mechanism of hate, by offering yourself love and compassion, and as an outcropping of that understanding, have love and compassion to offer to others.

More than likely you mean "extremely dislike" someone . Many people don`t realize what the word "hate" really means .

If you truly "hated" someone , you`d more than likely try to kill that person . It`s a word that has lost it`s true meaning over the years because of being overused and misused.

It`s been so diluted it can mean anything , such as you "hate" broccoli , you "hate" school , you "hate" your parents , and so on . In this context , you don`t really mean "hate" in it`s true meaning , considering you know it`s true meaning to begin with .

Living with real "hate" can and will eventually eat you alive , from the inside out , and destroy you , as a previous poster mentioned . Believe it !

It`s best to forget , and forgive if possible , and move on with your life .

Nothing will really "happen" to you, but in the act of hating, you are training your mind and emotions towards hatred and you will attract similar people and experiences into your life. As this is an R&S question- it's one of the ways "sins" and "punishment" work. If you steal something, for example, you will have less trust in others, if you are unfaithful to your partner, you will develop jealousy. There isn't a great spirit in the sky that is writing your sins down to punish you for- but we are developing our own consciousness with good or bad acts and creating consequences for ourselves.

Nothing really bad, if you hate someone, try to imagine that they are the ones that hate you too, what will happen to them too, your not gonna go to hell if you hate a person, who knows, even the most trustful monk will hate someone.

If you continue to hate this person for a long period of time and this hatred consumes your thoughts then soon the hate will consume you. In hate consuming you you will be a tortured soul/mind/body and life will suck. Now you don't want life to suck do you!?! So quit hating and "put a little love in your heart!"

The bottom line is hate will consume you. If this person is bad enough for you to hate then separate yourself. Hate is not worth it. It won't hurt the hated only the hater. Let it go.

If you continue to hate someone, they will forever be attached to you.How painful to allow someone you hate to live in your head. For me to hate is to continue to allow evil or abuse or whatever they did to poison me. So I have pretty much ( okay 80%) learned to turn them over to the universe. I'm not in control anyhow, and '"revenge" is not a word in my vocabulary However, you need to know that there are one or two people who I avoid!
