I have been hurt and stepped on. So I am more cautious now when it comes to developing a long term relationship.

I was able to love willingly and openly. I love as if I was never hurt.BUT I fell for a man whom I had known and trusted for years. Hence it was easier I guess.
In places my heart is hardened, but he manages to massage the hurt and hardening away

My heart was definitely hardened to a point, but if you take it slow and easy and are sure you know what you want, the ice will melt and you will find feelings again. Don't rush it. Like with any wound, it takes time to heal.

I have found myself loving more openly.
It is the relationships I've had SINCE my divorce that have made me more cynical! lol
