I told him I 'm his backbone and I'm with him no matter what. He keeps downing his self saying he's never gonna be nothing now. A whole bunch of jibberish, I feel as if he's trying to push me away. Advised him it's not that easy. I'm not going anywhere. I love him too much.

Welcome to the catch-22 of relationships!!! Yes ma'am. See in the end if he is that insecure about himself then he isn't going to be mature enough to see how everyone is an individual, because of this he can't see himself or you as being anything different then everyone else. Which pretty much VOIDS everything you tell him becasue he'll just assume like all other ladies in a relationship your just telling him that to make him feel better, instead of understanding you enough to see how deep and meaningful what your saying means. In other words, your with a brink wall, and you can't be with a nonchanging, nonrelating, nonunderstanding individual and expect a relationship to blossom and grow, if you don't believe me, just keep it up with him. Love is great and everything but true relatioships come down to us being able to USE that love to better ourselves. And I'm sorry hunnie but he just doesn't know how to use his love, which isn't something you teach, heck try! That is why they say don't get into relationship hoping to change someone, but look what your trying to do.... good luck!
