I am 14 years old and have just taken the unofficial Mensa test and I found my IQ to be 118. Is that good? I also have autism that does not affect my school work but It cause OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and I have dyscalcula sort of dyslexia with maths but yet i scored highly on the mathematical side of the test and it was not plain guess work.

The unofficial, unsupervised test is just for fun. It is not an accurate test of your I Q, but is an example of the type of questions that appear on IQ tests. Also I Q tests are not an accurate predictor of school/job performance.

A score of 100 is the most common score (average), and to quality for Mensa, you would have to score in the top 2%, which is a score in the 130's depending on which test.

According to the Wechsler scale, 91 - 110 is average, 111 - 119 is bright, 120 - 127 is superior, and 127 + is genius

First of all, all an IQ really does is tell you how well you do in IQ tests compared to other people and that gives you an idea of how "smart" you are. Most people rate between 90 & 110 so 118 is above average. Some people score very highly in some areas and poorly in others. However, there are a lot of other factors to consider - one obvious example is people who don't read well and often don't score highly even though they may be very intelligent. Also, your general health & mood can affect your score. Obviously taking a test on the computer because you feel like it is much less stressful than taking one in a noisy classroom when you would rather be hanging with your friends. Anything that challenges you intellectually will help you develop the logical, critical thinking skills that will boost your IQ Score.

Well, 90- is bellow average 90-113 is average 113-160 above average 160+ Genius. My official IQ test said I was 185.
