God did not sent his Son to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, God send Jesus to die on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins for us. You have to repent of your sins(sin no more) be baptized, and ask God to forgive you all your sins.
If Jesus had not died for our sins, we would had been able to pay the price, and be alive. You can't have it two ways, except the gift of God, and keep in your sinful ways. God is love , and He hates sin and evil. And he will destroy both.

No.

The Bible was put together by the Emperor Constantine in what was basically a political move to stabilize Rome. Lot's of documents that conflict with the books in the Bible were left out simply because they did not reflect the "party line".

Jesus probably did exist, and he probably was a great teacher like Buddha was, but there were a bunch of other teachers in the Jesus' time that have as much claim. (Appolonius of Tyana, Simon Magus, et al.) And while Jesus would very probably have been crucified, had he existed (since the Romans routinely did this to political dissidents) he definately would not have been the first, the last, or proabably even the most important.

Taking the corpus of early Christian writings as a whole (including Gnostic texts, the Apocryphy, Pseudo-Epigrapha etc.), it is much more likely that Jesus meant us all to be sons and daughters of God when he referred to himself as such, and that the crucifiction was just bad luck.

For me, I never heard the full story of the gospel until I was in my twenties. I didn't see any point in God, but every time I declared He didn't exist, I just didn't feel at peace with it. I mean, when I said, "I don't believe in Santa Claus," I knew I was cetain about that. With denying God however, well I just wasn't absolutely sure. I finally got the courage to quietly pray, "OK God, if you're real, show me."
Very soon after, I moved back into my mom's house where she had started watching the 700 club. I hated that show! It drove me insane to have to listen, (my bedroom was right next to the TV) to those "idiot" Christains every morning!
After a few weeks, I got tired of hearing them, and thought I would prove to myself that this is a bunch of junk, so I prayed the "sinner's prayer", believing that in a few weeks I could tell everyone, that it doesn't mean a thing.
BUT, I kid you not, within the first 24 hours, I started to notice a new kind of thinking on my part; for instance my mother was a very critical person. She'd find the dumbest thing to harp about and I would naturally defend myself when she start in on me. But that day however, when she started gripping about something I couldn't do anything about any way, for the first time in my life I realized I didn't HAVE to defend myself. I saw she had the right to think what she wanted and I didn't HAVE to agree, but at the same time, I didn't have to make her see she was wrong either.
My new reaction blew her away! She knew right then something was different about me.
It took me several years to fully realize that the bible is true, that God does love me and wants what is best for me, but it is because I had the evidence that He did make a change in my life when I wasn't even expecting Him to, I now accept what the bible says as truth.
Hope this explaination helps.

no, and i don't see a sacrifice being made.

an all-knowing, omnipotent being, impregnates an innocent girl, which very likely would have gotten her stoned. son has enemies before he's even born, causing other infant boys to be slaughtered. son becomes carpenter, until he decides to wander around the neighborhood, and heal a few, and feed a few, and spread the word.

then, ACCORDING TO PLAN, son is crucified, endures a few days of agony, and dies. for me?

son then gets a front row seat in heaven.

the rest of us are supposed to believe a story that many of us find unbelievable, that was written down years after the event, translated and tweaked, with things omitted, misinterpreted, and downright wrong.

and christians don't see why non believers can't just have faith?

No. Imagine some guy told you about his friend Jeff who was actually God's son. Jeff was born to a mother who claims to have been a virgin at about 15. Nobody knows anything about Jeff, from the time that he was 12 to the time that he was 30, but Jeff reappears claiming to be the savior of humanity. He is ultimately killed, in a grusome but common way, by an outraged crowd. Your friend tells you that Jeff's closest friends say that Jeff rose from the dead three days after he was killed, and walked and talked and all that jazz. There are a lot of eyewitnesses, but when pressured, you're friend can only come up with the people in Jeff's inner circle. Your friend now says that if you don't believe in Jeff, and don't have a personal relationship with Jeff, who has been sucked up to heaven, you will burn in hell for eternity.

Sounds pretty crazy, huh?

With all my being, if I didn't beleive that he was raised from the dead and that He dies for my sins, then what promise would I have that I too someday would be raised as well to be with Him in Glory.
I don't believe though that just by making this statement I am saved, I believe that the saving Grace of God must be cultivated and safe guarded throughout all life, one cannot live sin-free but one can definately try to be Christ to those who do not know Christ, spread the Gospel of truth and love as Christ loved his Father and each of us.

Yees -- kind of. Christ was raised up three days later and given a spirit body similar to what the angels have. 1st Thessalonians show him to be an archangel now.

However, Christ stayed around the disciples and here on earth for a period after his resurrection. Only after having accomplished the showing of himself and after having gone to preach to the demons in Tartarus did Christ leave to go to heaven.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 16Because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the arch-agent, and with a trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first, (ACV)

Some people believe that Christ preached to the demons while he was in 'hell' this is improper understanding.

Perhaps a bit simplistic in my way of thinking. I believe God sent his son Jesus to show us the way to him...to pass on the message that through grace NOT through works can we be saved from the ultimate consequence of our sins (separation from God in eternity). I think he did know that Jesus would be killed for his teachings by people who believed the path to God lay in "good works" and saw his message as a threat to their beliefs and their way of life. God also knew that his son's death and later his resurrection, would prove that God does have victory over death and that those who believed in the message of Jesus could share in that victory.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Yahsuah(Jesus) death was not in vain).

Know ye not that the UNRIGHTEOUS SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God? BE NOT DECEIVED: neither fornicaters, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10:Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Many people proclaim to know the lord, but do not.

And you " Baby...", you know how to read ? Read more for yourself. If you will be hearing what people say, you have a risk to go astray. " ...let God be found true, though every man be found a liar "......Romans 3:4. People often can speak not exactly what is written in the Bible. No matter by what reason. If you will be hearing them and won't be doing what please God, you risk not to receive God's blessings. So, it is very important to read the Bible. You should not only to understand such questions, but to know how to act and what to do so that to please God. God bless you.
