Separately, Blue means peace, openness, and serenity. Blue and white together means clean and refreshing, but doesn't really mean much in love. Lavender means refinement, grace, and elegance.

Not really. White is often a symbol of purity (such as in wedding dresses), so that may or may not be relevant. Blue is a symbol of perserverance on the seal of the United States.
