before my mom leaves for work around 8ish she takes my dog outside and lets her poop and pee. yesterday and today ive woken up around 10 and found that she pooped on the floor. could this be because we changed our dogs food? (our vet told us to because she was overweight) about 3 days ago we switched from purina beneful to purina trim and fit. does anyone know of a good dog food that will help her lose a bit of weight and not make her need to go to the bathroom as much? nothing to expensive...

My dog gets the runs whenever I've changed his food. Especially the time I tried the "Fit & Trim" - totally a bad idea - he destroyed the carpet within 2 days. So back to regular food we went. Now, no problems.

I wouldn't change the diet again, but you or your mom might want to take the dog for a walk every morning (bringing a bag, of course.) If it means getting up a little earlier than normal, then that's what needs to be done. Giving the dog a nice walk before leaving in the morning will help with the weight loss as well, and it's a good way to start off the day for you too.

keep giving your dog what the vet recommends... don't change her diet again and again, as this may be the cause of her having a lot of bowel movements.
she will adjust.
i switched my dog to purina beneful healthy weight and although she never went inside the house, i noticed the first several days she did have more bowel movements... but she was fine after a short time....
perhaps you could confine your dog to a crate or a small, closed in area overnight? dogs won't go in the space they sleep.
also take her out right before you go to bed. this might give her an extra opportunity to relieve herself.

well for starters talk to your vet about the problem and ask for onother brand like iams or beneful also ask your vet if you can change the dogs diet to friut and vegies.and if your dogs over wieght taking him to the dog park or running him will work
