Although a Christian of 50+ years [with never any party affiliation] my religious belief has absolutely no bearing on which candidate I choose or don't choose. Why would it? Likewise, a President's religion [if any] is immaterial.
To me, Bush Jr, "good Christian" that he may be, has nevertheless proven himself a spectacular failure as President.

I'm a Christian and I didn't vote for Bush the first or second time.

Bush wasn't my choice...Clinton wasn't my choice...and Bush Sr wasn't my choice 17 years ago...Me as a Christian...I can't really say there has been anybody worth voting for since I was able to vote after Reagan left office.

I was raised a Missouri Synod Lutheran, married a Catholic, and raised my children in the Catholic faith. Neither my husband, nor I, voted for Bush--for that matter, we did not vote for Bush Sr. either.
We were in NY and voted for Guilliani for mayor back then--and he did a good job. I believe we voted for Reagan...we also voted for Clinton. I will not vote for Hillary, though.

I'm pretty sure that those that did vote for him are still clinging to the belief that he's better for our nation than the guys that weren't elected. You know how dogmatic some people can be.
