Becoming a satinist really would have nothing to do with religion. But you'd probably enjoy working with such sleek material, if fabrics are your thing. :)
As for the Catholic Church -- you are one LUCKY duck for not having yet been conned by its 2,000 years' worth of mindless and UNbiblical, humanly-contrived dogmas. The RC Church is the world's largest cult. Do yourself a favor, and find a good, mainstream (not fundy!) Protestant church to attend, such as Methodist, Lutheran, Congregational, etc. You'll continue to be a Christian, and you can practice it in line with what the Bible (and not a bunch of extraneous hooey and mumbo-jumbo) says.

Bottom line, what you should do is seriously consider, what do I believe? That is always a journey worth taking, because it makes you a wiser, and I believe more informed, human soul.
Read about spiritual things (from the Bible first perhaps, then from others). Ask others about their experiences with God. Go to a local church, ANY church, and just observe. Listen with spiritual ears and look with spiritual eyes at the world around you.
I believe if you do this earnestly with an opne mind and an open soul, you will find a path... YOUR path. And I also believe God will meet you on the way to a better destination.
God bless :)

Good God and Goddess, there's a whole lot of middle ground between Roman Catholic and Satanist. Pray for something that fits your worldview and personal experience. Be open to change. I grew up a Christian, but spent many years practicing Buddhism before I found a mixture of Buddhesque Paganism that will probably do me for the rest of my days. Every experience has enriched me spiritually.
Research before you jump into anything. There are lots of unscrupulous people - of every faith - who will try to take advantage of a searcher.
Blessings and good luck to you.

Do you want to worship Satan? If yes, then become a Satan Worshiper. Just because you don't go to church does not mean you worship Satan, since you probably won't show up to that place of worship either. If you are confirmed then you are Roman Catholic.

Whether you are catholic or not is not important.
The only thing that you should consider is whether you believe in the God of the Bible and in this sense. Ask your self this question. What is God's plans for his earth and where do you fit in those plans? To explain read Mathew 5:5 this is where Jesus was speaking so ask your self why he made that statement?
Then read Psalms 37:9-11,29, then you will understand that Jesus knew what God promised and that he was in agreement.
The point is for you to understand what God requires of you so you and your family can be there.

Read the Bible, starting at Matthew.
Compare what is written with what Catholicism says and does.
Draw a conclusion.
