There is a nice book that is recommended for you to read. It is written by an American Author, Michael Hart & it is called: The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History. It has Prophet Muhammad as No. 1 ;)

I'm still looking......this is too much fun! So much to pick from. I'll try to keep my list to 5 items too. BRB

*Encyclopaedia of Islamic Science and Scientists: http://islamicbookstore.com/b9142.html
*Footsteps by Umm Zakiyyah -it's the 3rd in a series of Muslim Fiction I've been reading --or I would get the next books in a series by Jamilah Koloctronis - I like those too. --SO GOOD. http://islamicbookstore.com/b9269.html for some reason they don't have the books my Koloctronis on this site though. At least not the ones I am talking about.
*You Version 2.0 (4 CD set) -- I love to read but really lectures on CD are great for me especially during school. Between classes I can listen to them in my MP3 player in the library or in the car out and about or while cooking.. And Ramadan is a great time to remember to improve ourselves. So I think these CDs would be good. http://islamicbookstore.com/a4662.html
*One of the Digital Quran Reciters from this page (I want to get dh one): http://islamicbookstore.com/electronics.html
*Ramadan (children's books): http://islamicbookstore.com/b4880.html

I tried to pick some different stuff then those above me but like I said there is so much I would enjoy it doesn't matter anyway. :D

The Quran: A Biography
Approaching the Sunnah
Born in the USA: Muslim Americans (video)
Inside Mecca (video)
The Teachings of Islam

I think these are good Ramadan gift items. The videos would be good to watch with family after you break fast for the day (after you eat and pray, of course). I think these items are right on target for Ramadan and helps us continue our remembrance of Allah.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait for Ramadan to start. It always gives me a good feeling.

There's just so much! If I was buying a gift I would just get the gift vouchers!

But I'd be keen on books like:

Revolution by the Book
Muslims on the Americanization path
Unholy War : Terror in the Name of Islam
Silent No More (PB): Confronting America's False Images of Islam
