It doesn't bother me. I makes me curious. If someone declares any belief in any religion or philosophy, I want to know how they got to that conclusion. If someone is a pagan, I wonder the same thing. If someone is a Christian (like myself), I want to know how they came to be one as well. I think it's important for someone to know how they came to think they way they did. There is a process that should go way beyond, "My mom raised me like this." We should all evaluate on our own and see if we come to the same conclusion as our families or different conclusions. Either way, we have to be honest with one another and ourselves.

This is a great question.
It bothers me in a strange way. I can relate though.
I was a Christian when I was a little boy.
Later I was told that Jesus was like the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause. This caused me no end of internal and external conflicts as I tried to not believe for the next twenty years. I actually thought I was mentally ill for believing in GOD. It is like telling someone that has headaches that headaches do not exist. Today I am very close to GOD through Jesus Christ and I am whole and complete. I may be a nut case according to my Atheist family, but I am one joyful and content nut case. It bothers me that some people who do not believe would demand that we who know Jesus would join them in their misery. That is the same reason I do not push Jesus on anyone who has already rejected him.

No, not really. I simply anguish sorta for the person who says it. What makes me feel uncomfortable are those people that profess to be Christians and believe in God and Jesus and the Bible and then ask you for your money so they can keep their multi-million dollar television network going and buy more gold gilded mirrors and velvet upholstered chairs and purchase pink wigs and thousand dollar suits and pinky rings and dangly earrings. Those people make me down right sick and I inwardly cringe when I think of all the non-believers who see that and it fortifies their unbelief...it makes me desperate to say "the" right thing to get them to understand there is Christianity, The Bible and Jesus Christ, the whole thing...its real...but that's not it. Love in Christ, ~J~

cool down; loosen up. are not getting your bowels in an uproar over what different persons have faith. As disenchanted as you seem, you incredibly need to look into those issues to get your self some peace of techniques. rather of fretting over what 80% of human beings have faith in,you may desire to to connect the team. All those human beings won't be able to be incorrect, except you sense minority regulations. merely as an test, ask God to teach you, if he's actual, what all it fairly is approximately and fasten your self some warm cocoa and attempt and get a stable nights sleep. Rock-a-by potential of infant....

Does it bother you when people say they do not believe in Zeus, Yu Ti, Odin, Ahuramazda, Marduk, etc.? I believe nothing, because beliefs are accepted as true without any proof. I know, not just believe, by looking at all evidence and thinking much about it. There is no real, logical evidence that any gods exist, so I agree when someone does not accept gods.

Yes it bothers me. I believe that it bothers believers because somewhere in the back of their mind is a doubt that they themselves believe in God. When someone else expresses that doubt, they are worried that their faith is going to be shaken. This is also the reason why you're hearing this answer from those you discuss this with- they won't even voice this reason out loud because it will give credibility to their doubt.
Thanks! Good question, and very interesting response.

Depends...if it's a stranger, I don't feel any more connected to the person than I would if I was reading an article in Reader's Digest about that person.
but the closer the friendship, yes..the more it does bother me. Like if me and you were the tightest of buds, and you told me you had just found you had end-stage cancer, man, that would hurt to know my best friend is dying...
so yeah...it does bother me...not feeling bad just for them, but for those of us in Heaven who won't get to meet someone I thought was pretty awesome, and also for myself, because ...well..you're my best friend and we're going to part ways, never to see each other again.

Absolutely not.
To be totally convinced to the point of being bothered by someone who DOESN'T believe as I do is a little something called "intolerance." Intolerance is not love. And God is love. Ergo, if I am bothered by someone not believing in God, I cease to believe in Him myself.
Love them all, kids!

Personally it does make me sad that someone would not believe, it does not make me uncomfortable though, since I believe that religion and belief are very personal and only achieved if one wishes it to be so, in other words, one selects out of one's own free will whether or not to believe.
