I'm new to Yahoo! Answers so sorry if this is a weird question but I'm just wondering...
Is anybody else from an abnormally large family? I am the fourth child of twelve. The only families I know of that are as large as mine are the incredibly eccentric ones they feature on TLC that are either wicked hicks or die hard Christians. Are there any other large families out there that are like mine: normal with just a lot of kids?
And if you're not from a large family, what do you think of them?

Wow I think that's really cool!
I only have one sister, so I would love to have more siblings. How close in age are you guys and how many boys and girls?

How are you? I'm the oldest of 8, 6 girls and 2 boys. LOL My mom used to be chuckled at in a store with so many baby ducks quacking along beside and behind her.
Being in a big family has it's ups and downs, you always had someone or a few to work and play with, when it came to chores, the house was cleaned in an hour.
Bad part is there's NO PRIVACY whatsoever, so if you want to find a quiet spot, it's usually really far away from home or locking yourself in a bathroom, but you know that never lasts too long.
I didn't think anything of growing up in a large family, it was normal to me.

Wow, I thought I belonged to a large family, but you definetly beat me.
I am the 5th child of seven. I was an aunt by the age of 3, and now I have 11 nephews and nieces (from brothers and sisters, not counting cousins) and a 12th on the way. Two of us haven't gotten married yet, my generation is not done, so more babies in a couple of years.
I love being in a large family, it was hard since my parents didn't have enough time-money to focus on each and one of us, I remember sharing most of my things, and sometimes the problems were too many, but I can't imagine my life any other way. I love each and everyone, and I can't deny it was fun at times, especially those road trips..............

I come from a large family too 3 sisters, 5 brothers and I, I consider my family fairly normal with I being the exception. I am very different from everyone else in my family my brothers and sisters are normally social they tend to family parties and reunions and things like that. While I since I've been a young child I have never liked going to parties and never mingled that much with other family members. I do have a normal relationship with my brothers and sisters but I rarely mingle with them in get togethers. Like I said I am the only weirdo or different from my whole family.

My uncle comes from a large family of 10 from which he was the 3rd boy of 3 boys and 7 girls. When his parents could not take care of him, the rest of the siblings would care for themselves and one another. There is nothing wrong with having a lot of siblings. Having a large family is great!

I'm the youngest of 14 (6 sisters & 7 brothers), there are 2 sets of twins in there.
I've always gotten along with all of my siblings with the acception of the two boys that are closer to my age. Otherwise, I love it.
Myself, I only have 2 children (1 girl & 1boy) which is more than enough these days.

I'm not but one of my cosins is, about 8 kids, well middle aged now...
Even now it doesnt matter how large ur family is! its if ur parents can handle the kids and not just for the hell of it. My aunt has equal love for ALL her children and IT SHOWS. A family friend has adopted/fosterd many children, and it shows the love she can give....i wouldnt see it in a negative way, unless the children where obviously being neglected!
Hope it helps :)

I personally am not. My dad however is one of nine children. They were totally normal, but he grew up in an era of course where large families were more of the norm. I think it is great if the parents have the time and money to have that many kids. Family is extremely important to me. I look forward to have a semi-large family.

My family isn't as big as yours, but still big. I'm the third of 7 (19, 17, 13, 10, 8, 6 and me). As far as I know we're normal ;). Alittle crazy at times when we goof off with eachother, but normal.
Personally I don't like families that go on TLC and stuff. It's almost like they're just having alot of children to get on tv and then they give other big families bad names because of it.

Not really all that large, I have 8 sisters and a twin brother. As far as I know we are pretty normal. A bit disfunctional, but normal.
