THEY SENT ME A LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING I WAS PRE-APPROVED FOR $10,000, BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY A PAYMENT UPFRONT OF $49. I CHECKED WITH THE BBB BUT THERE IS NOT MUCH INFO. IS THIS LEGIT?

First, the BBB would only have info on local businesses. Also remember that BBB is a private organization of businesses and has no regulatory powers.

Read thru all the fine print very carefully. This sounds like one of those cards with an activation fee, monthy fees, and all sorts of extra costs. Also make sure it's actually a Visa card and not a credit card for just their catalog -- the name kinda rings a bell with me as one of those.
