I'm asking alot of questions today, but anyways, My 10 month old cat has always had nasal problems when she went for her first vet visit they said she may have scar tissue in her nasal passage. It makes her weez, and she snores, today while petting her it started making a whistling noise, is it possible its getting worse? can scar tissue continue to grow if thats whats causing it? It doesnt seem to bother her she doesnt breath through her mouth or anything.

the only experience i have with a situation like this is the cat of a friend of mine -- it had some scar tissue in its nose when it was young and the vet scraped and removed it....

the operation was $600 and after several months, my friend says the cat's breathing is back to what you describe now...

i think that, sometimes the surgery works, and other times it does not?

i feel for your kitty... at least you're concerned. i suppose it's up to you whether to have surgery or not? good luck, and give that kitty a pat for me.. hugs

Try using a humidifier in your home, it will add mositure to your room and make it easier for the cat to breath.
