These days those who call themselves salafis have the same belief as wahhabis and takfiris. These people have a belief which is against Islam. They believe that God is a body and they apply the concepts of place and direction to Him. Hence they do not know their Lord and whoever does not know their Lord is not a Muslim.
Secondly, they regard all people except themselves as non-Muslims. They believe it is blasphemy to make a supplication to God, asking Him by the rank of the Prophet. They are so brainwashed as some might say, that they do not realise this practice is recognised in Islam and in the Hereafter the Prophets will intercede for the sinful Muslims, asking Allaah to forgive them.
These people are the ones who kill both Muslims and non-Muslims, claiming it is jihad.
Warn about them because if you let them go they will destroy societies as they have many times before.

Well here are the definitions:
Salafi : is a Sunni Muslim who believes Muslims should live like "salaf", which is arabic for ancestors. i.e, companions of Prophet Mohammed. These people are very strict interpretator of Koran and Hadith.
Takfiri: is a Muslim who believes that all non traditional muslim sects (i.e those other than Sunni muslims) are considered non-believers.
Wahabi: is a Muslim who follows the teachings of the Muslim scholar, Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahab, who was a Sunni Muslim who lived during the late 1700s. Wahabis are known to be very strict interpretators of Koran and Hadith. They follow the Hanbali school but in a "Wahabi" twist if you know what I mean. Wahabi's refuse this term and they would like to call themselves "Salafi".
Now, from the above definitions, you can see that some people claim to be salafi, but others may consider them Wahabi or Takfiri depending on their acts.
Al-Qaeda is a good example for that.

they are all muslims.. although the takfiris may give some trouble.....
Salafism (Arabic: "predecessors" or "early generations"), is a generic term, depicting a Sunni Islamic school of thought that takes the pious ancestors (Salaf) of the patristic period of early Islam as exemplary models.
Takfiris are the persons who professe the disbelief of certain individuals or groups within the Muslim society or Islam. They are viewed as "extremists" by some of their opponents, arguing that "no one Muslim can call another Muslim a 'kafir' (infidel)".
Wahhabism is a branch of Sunni Islam practised by those who follow the teachings of Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab, after whom the movement is named. The term "Wahhabi" is rarely used by the people it is used to describe. Some use Wahhabism and Salafism interchangeably, though "Wahhabism" is considered derogatory

They are all Muslims.
They all believe in one God, one Quran and one Messenger of God namely Muhammad (pbuh).
These different names were given due to specific thoughts and followup of Shareah. They are still part of the main stream Islam!
