so that mean that a person can commit any sin he/she wants, can steal, can lie, do drugs, hurt someone. so a person is not afraid of getting punished by the sins he/she commits. since Jesus already died for our sins! then why bother to worry, about getting punished for it!!. a person is only concern about the state law, he/she will fear the state law more than God.

and if christians still asking for forgiviness and repent their sins, then what was the point of Jesus death ?

Christians are no worse than anybody else.

The whole "was crucified for our sins" assertion as NEVER made sense to me. I mean, God/Jesus is supernaturally beyond life and death. Jesus/God resurrected HIMSELF for crying out loud. Where's the risk? Where's the loss? Did he turn his divinity on and off like a light switch . . . on, so he could perform miracles; off, so that he could suffer mortal pain; on, so he could rise from the dead?

How can people believe such nonsense?

:-)

You could trust them, but if that bothers you than its probably not a good idea to be more than an aquiatance to this individual.
To me, this person just sounds like their confused about their beliefs, and have a broader outlook on what might really be. And even if its not gods doings, if they steal and cheat and lie, karma will eventually bite em in the ****.
And if you cant believe in something you cant see, then why would you worry about a man youve never met when the government can lock you up forever.
The point of Jesus' death is everybodies own opinion. We werent there.. we wont ever know why, believe what you want to believe about his death.

Jesus did die for our sins ,but we have a responsibility,1st we must believed that that Jesus lived on this earth because there are so many witnesses that have declared it even His enemies,2nd also that He was crucified and died on a cross, this too was witnessed when people came out of the graves, the sky darken, the curtain in the temple ripped from top to bottom (not bottom to top)and people saw this too,3rd He was buried in a tomb and guards were set to guard the grave but He rose and came out of the grave and went to see His friends. Now our responsibilities is to believe these things actually took place and confess that, repent of not having done so before and turn away from the life you are living that's not pleasing to God,then be baptized into Christ for remission of your sins Acts chapter 2v38,Romans chapter 6and this does not mean you can do what you want but you are suppose to try to live a Godly lifestyle "as best you can"you will not be perfect but having done the things i mentioned above has made you a child of God & a brother to Jesus the Christ and He will forgive if you sincerely are trying to live a Godly life that .Remember "love God with all your heart, body & soul and love your neighbor as yourself"if you live like this then you will try to avoid doing wrong and sinful things, oryou can live like you want and die and go to hell to be with the devil in torment forever & ever where there is weeping and nashing of the teeth.

Yes I would, Jesus paid the price for my sins, so i could go to heaven. The key is, I have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and accept Him as my personal savior, coupled with repenting of my sins and asking God to forgive me. If a person doesn't do this, they have not accepted the salvation, a free gift.

Wrong!

Paul asked, "Should we continue in sin that grace may abound? GOD FORBID NO!!!!"

Salvation isn't license to sin, it's freedom FROM sin: "And you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people FROM their sin."

By the way, repentance doesn't gain us forgiveness. Rather, it is a condition, WITHOUT WHICH God can NOT pardon us.

Think of a judge who is trying a criminal, and for some reason, wants to pardon this criminal. He sends someone to the prison to ask the criminal, "If you were to receive a pardon, what would you do?" The criminal replies, "I would keep on doing what I have been doing." The judge would be unwise to grant him a pardon, even if he had good reason to, otherwise.

Likewise, though God WANTS to grant us all a pardon, He can not do it in all good wisdom if we refuse to acknowledge or crimes against God (ie sins), and turn from them (repent).

But, at the same time, if that criminal says he'll straighten out and quit his life of crime, the judge is not obligated to pardon him.

Likewise, our repentance does not force God to pardon us. It is STRICTLY God's grace and mercy because of what Jesus did when He died on the cross.

"We are saved by grace, through faith. It is a gift of God, not by works, lest any man should boast."

Does this help shed a little light on this issue?

You think thats' bad? Imagine if the person who said that were persuaded that religion is all a bunch of lies and nonsense, there there is no cosmic scorekeeper who will torcher them after they're dead. That was the only thing that was keeping them from going on a bloodthirsty, destructive rampage. Now imagine its not just one person, but hundreds of thousands. Every Christian is what I'm talking about. The only thing that's holding these psychos back is the idea of an imaginary friend.

The point of Jesus' death was to wash away the sins of those who will trust in Jesus for their salvation AND turn away from their sinful nature. the last part isn't easy and we will stumble from time to time. And we will continue to ask forgiveness.

BUT ... the person who claims to be born again solely to justify his sinful nature is not saved and will never see the kingdom of heaven. God knows our hearts and will condemn those who use their so-called faith as an excuse to do evil.

You truly don't understand until you know Him personally! There are tons of SCRIPTURE to explain that CHRISTIANS can't just go around sinning, however when you except CHRIST you don't want to,you can't! He is always there telling you how much He loves you and you are aware of the pain you cause Him when you sin...His love is now in you...you are a different person...so you don't want to do the same things and act the same way! Plus we all have consequences for our actions!

That person has a warped version of Christianity. It's not about commiting sins and getting away with them. It's about admitting your guilt and ATONING for it. You have to stand up to the consequences of your actions in order to earn forgiveness and not repeat them. The point is that no matter how much you sin, you still can stop and atone for it.

This means that the jesus freak "tries" not to commit all of these sins every day. Are you comforted by such a person?

I believe that"Jesus died so i don't get punished for my sins"
But as I love Jesus too I wouldn't do anything that will make Him sad so I can't steal, can't lie, can't do drugs, can't hurt someone.

Jesus loves you and died for you
God bless you
