My husband will be graduating soon from DSS and Im just wondering how I should dress? I would never show up in jeans and I know I dont need a formal dress but how dressed up should I be? I will also be bringing our little girls ages 5 and 1. What should I expect to happen at the graduation...I know it's a smaller group of men and women graduating so it shouldn't take to long but how does the whole thing usually play out?

With having a 5 and 1 year old you will probably be caring or running after or just dealing with children during the event - so practical clothes - ie not going to get moved easily and reveal something - or high heals that you are going to trip in. I would suggest a nice pant suit with nice long necklace (the child can play with it and be content)

It depends. Is it going to be an outside ceremony or an indoors ceremony. The ones I have seen were indoors. People generally wore the same type of thing they wore to church or any other graduation. Something nice. The ceremony is only about an hour long or less, depending on how many are graduating.

The graduations I saw were much like a High School Graduation, except instead of a diploma, they were issued their first Drill Sergeant Hat. Honor Graduates will be honored, people make short speeches. Sometimes there will be a video presentation highlighting the class.

If it is outdoors, the same thing but they wont have a video but will have an Army Band.

You are overthinking it. Personally, I wouldn't go with jeans, but I would almost guarantee you'll see some their. My advise is to dress like you were going out to dinner and don't stress. I have been to very few ceremonies like that where everyone was really dressed up. Relax, from a fellow armywife. Army wives do it with Hooah!

If you're not sure it would be best to ask your husband what the dress code for guests is, but, it will probably be more Sunday dress than formal dress. Congrats to your husband.
