Just remember that "god" is actually nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand and you'll be OK.

an atheist is human, nothing more living on the planet earth, that's all they need to prove to justify their existence. lets compare your question in terms of a religion, because an atheist don't have to believe in anything to be who he or she is... Now catholics... saying the pope is infallible, he says no to birth control... how many say he's right, I've never met a catholic that didn't do birth control... eat only fish on Fridays... I don't know of any who do that either... the point is in religion you are giving up serious control over your life... you don't see the consequences doing that means to you... if you are going to blindly follow someone you better be sure their are driving you down the right road, religion is not one belief it's a whole package of to many rules, sins laws and such that go a long way in limiting the enjoyment of the life you have just for being alive... morality has nothing to do with religion it's all about control... who has it.. you over your life or a church,

There's nothing wrong with believing something. All atheists believe in various things. I, for one, believe it's time for breakfast soon.

I sense that somewhere in that question, the word "me" got abducted and was never seen again.

Then again, reading the rest, you've obviously lost yourself, so that makes sense.

And yes, atheism is believing that no God exists. Science actually proves that said God really doesn't exist - but don't confuse Science with Atheism, please...

Take a deep breath, slow down, and start over because you've lost me.
