First you might try a fence ~ it that is not an option, talk w/the owner of the dogs you might be having problem with. and see if between the 2 of you you might be able to come up with a resonable solution.
If the dogs you are having problem w/are strays ~ contact your local law enforcement agency and inquire from them if they have an Animal Control Section ~ if so request to talk with their ACO (Animal Control Officer) explain your situation to them and see if they might be able to assist you in resolving your prediciment.
I would strongly suggest again BB's guns of any sort ~ with only your innocent nature in mind, serious injuries could occur and a dog is only a dog by nature ~ if the dog belongs to a neighbor, don't punish the dog for the neighbors irresponsibilities....

several methods:
1) if you know it belongs to someone, talk to them a bout it
2) if its stray, call a shelter to come pick it up
3)spray it with a hose. this will shock it and tell it that what its doing is wrong
4) if all else fails, fence in your back yard. its the only other way
good luck!!!hope i was helpfull!!! but, whatever method u use, plz do not resort to hurting or killing the dog. in some places u could get fined and/ or thrown in jail for animal cruelty

How about scaring the owners instead? If they're wild dogs, call animal control. If you can't count on them, I'd suggest a fence. I can't see harming animals that aren't doing anything wrong in their eyes. Wild dogs eat, drink, sleep, crap and urinate wherever they can. good luck

Please don't use a BB gun. Dog's only being a dog. Have you spoken with the owner?
If they are strays, you need to report them to your local animal control and they will pick them up. Even if they're pets, you can call Animal Control.
In the meantime, you could try a water hose.

i had the same problem on my property buy yourserlf a dog whistle blow it every time you see them they do not lilke the high pitch
