I'm not asking if you're the person you once dreamt yourself to be, the question is are you becoming the person you dream (present tense) yourself to be...

I'm already the person I dream myself to be.

Sure, I can make improvements. I could stand to lose about 50 lbs. I wish my hair wasn't going gray (but at least it's not falling out!). I wish I had a different job, and I wish I had more time.

However, I'm quite happy with who I am. I know who I am, for starters, which is better than many can say. I like who I am. I'm happy with the way I've turned out, and all of my life's experiences have made me the way I am.

I don't know if I'm the person I once dreamed I'd be. That was a Lutheran pastor who probably would either be teaching at the college level or in an administrative function in the LCMS by now. None of that's come to pass, but that doesn't mean I'm unhappy with who I am or the person I've become.

I let go of the dream to just BE who I really am...which is much greater than dreams could be.

Yes, because I am becoming the person I know God wants to make me.

Not at all.

The dream-me is actually three individuals..... and we are telekinetic.

That just doesn't work in the "real world".
