Our 2 year old cat is showing 3x the amount of white on the bottom of her eye then normal. I was wondering what has caused this. My stepmom won't take her to the vet unless she is not eating or acting strang. She is still playing with the kitten, using the litter box, etc.
Please help!!!!!
Thanks

I have tried to persuade her but she said she talked to the vet (not sure if that is true)

and the vet says it is from stress, though I am not sure if she is telling the truth. It has been like this for about 4 days at least now.

Call the vet yourself, talk to them about the condition and see what they say. The phone is free, use it and get information directly from the vet on this so you don't have to second guess your mother.

It could be a number of different things. When you compare it to the normal eye, is it the eyelid that seems different, or is the eye pointing in a different angle to the normal one? Is there discharge or redness? Does the eye itself look bigger in the socket than the normal one? How long has it looked this way?
There are lots of things that can go wrong with eyes - some minor, some less minor. No-one who isn't a vet can tell you for sure what it is, especially when they have never seen the cat. You should attempt to persuade your mother into a vet visit if the eye has looked abnormal for more than a couple of days.

Sounds like it's showing it's third eyelid, tell your mom when a cat shows it's third eyelid, that means it's sick and needs to go to the vet's.
