My grandmother is suffering from muscle spasms. Sometimes it is not there at all, but then on other days it's very, very violent (going all over the place). It's mainly the arm, and also the legs. Today she was fine, but then later when the jerks started, she also started slurring her words.

Scan results and etc are taking ages, so any help as to what it could be are appreciated?

Though the definitive treatment will depend on the scan results, for these symptoms some treatment should have been started. Or is it a new development? In that case she should be taken to hospital as this is an emergency. She has either some space occupying lesion in the skull, could be haemorrage, neoplasm or it could be TIA due to thrombosis.
Good luck!

They say salt or potassium, but who is getting too little of that except potassium. There's a book on nutrition with symptoms free on trans4mind or sites where you can look up symptoms. It wouldn't hurt to become well informed on medicine as doctors are so... well you know.. uninformed. So often it seems the more you pay the less you get.

i wish i could help... hopefully someone out there has had a family member with similar experiences... but i encourage you to wait... the doctors know what they are doing and they will do the best that anyone can for your grandmother... just give it a little time...

and do your best to comfort her... i know that is hard, i know that the answer is not up to snuff, but when confronted with a question of this nature that is all that any of us can really do...

just make her as comfortable as possible and wait...
