I'm 4 years older than him. The first time I found out (a year ago), I told my parents and they talked about it with him and if he did it again he wouldn't be able to use to computer anymore.
He still did it, but my parents were so upset, I didn't want to tell them again because they would be even more stressed out. So I always kept it to myself.
looking at the history, he searches for cartoon/anime porn of his favorite animes. when i first found out, i saw one of the sites he was on and it was so disturbing...since then ive never viewed any of the sites, just the history...thats how freaked out i am by it.
today, i caught him on those sites again..at my moms workplace!! (when she wasnt there) then i caught him again when we got home!
Yeah, i know it's natural for boys to be doing this but he just finished 6th grade and i think he is too young to be doing this...plus isn't it illegal since he is underage?
what can i do without telling my parents?

I will first say I have a 12 yr. old boy who discovered my husbands porn magazines and yes 12 & 13 is young but kids are starting puberty and growing a lot younger these days. It is normal he is in his puberty stage and porn and all that guy stuff is going to happen you can't stop it. About the computer I will not let my son on the computer without some supervision and sorry but you need to tell your parents or you will keep having to buy computers he is not going to listen to his sibling when you tell him to stop. Do try talking to him tell him there are magazines & movies instead of the comp. he is at a confused stage in life and he needs someone to be there for him. Passwords and making sure your logged off is the way to go. Put passwords on the screen to where he needs you to get in for him and supervise him. Good luck! Hope I helped.

seems like youve got a situation.
sorry but the only way this is gonna work is for you to tell your parents. he's gotten the worst already and he still does it. if you dont tell your parents now, they wont stop him from using the computer, and if they dont then perhaps this will grow into [if it already hasnt] a very serious sex addiction. you can prevent it by just telling your parents, whose anger will scare him and theyll stop him from using the computer for a while which will give him a withdrawal until he doesn't need the porn anymore. don't let this turn into a bigger problem.
PLUS, your mom could get fired if/when they find out about that porn he watched at her work. no joke, fired right on the spot. let's hope he doesn't do it again, for her sake, if not for his.
if you dont tell your parents you are losing in everyway. face your fear and look at the greater good.

you can block certain sites by going to Tools, Security and then Restricted Sites using Internet Explorer.
you can also create a new User Account for your brother which does not allow administrative rights to the computer... Change Passwords on All Other User Accounts to Something He Will Not Figure Out!!! -- such as a word with several numbers behind it.
You can set your Privacy and Security settings to medium-high when you're not logged on (Tools, Internet Options, Privacy Tab and/or Security Tab), and he shouldn't be able to get into any porn sites, or very limited ones.
Also, update your anti-virus files frequently.... do a virus scan and adware/spyware scans quite often also.
I'm sure the viruses are coming from the porn sites for the most part.
If you don't have spyware or adware programs, do a search for ADAWARE, SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY and you can also get WINDOWS DEFENDER if you like.
Giving your brother his own account without administrative rights should block his ability to change settings for the most part.
take care.

yes there are ways to block these sites, yes it is illegal, and yes that COULD be these sites that are responsible for viruses... but could be any email attachments you or your mother open in the same computer, as Word or Powerpoint documents... so don't blame the kid yet for this...
My advice for you is not very orthodox... You should help him to locate the good porn... he's not too young for that, he's 13... if he was 9 I would think he's too young, but at 13 most kids can't think of anything else... It will take some time before sex ceases to be a taboo and he finally stop viewing this crappy material, though...
it's a period when most guys tend to try different things, and some guys like more weird things than others...do not try to keep him away from porn, because that won't work... but I don't think cartoons are a good source for it... cartoons are cartoons, sex is sex... perhaps the best thing would be to let him watch some movies which are a bit more adult, like Basic Instinct and stuff... It's not too vulgar, but it's not the same of allowing him only to watch The King Lion and Shrek
---------
here it is, my idea on how you should talk with him... Hey bro, let me tell you one thing, these sites you've been browsing, they're sick... If you're really curious about how does the female body actually look like, or how sexual relationships are for real, you should watch Shakespeare in Love, Basic Instinct or Brokeback Mountain (if you think he goes that way)...
if that doesn't help, then you talk with your parents... but remember to tell them it's a normal thing for kids that age, and that scaring him or not giving him every piece of information will be of no help at all... what families everywhere lack, when it comes to sex, is good and clear, free of prejudices or religious dogmae guidance

I don't care if he just finished the 6th grade, he's 13. Puberty hits boys hard and if they don't have any direction from a man in how to handle it or what's appropriate then they will find it themselves. My thought when I read your question was why was it the 17yr old finding this out and not the parents. Why is it your father didn't nip this in the bud to begin with?
He's using your mom's work computer and you need to tell her right now. She is going to need to tell her boss what happened because as the previous answerer said, when they find it, she will get fired. She may anyway for allowing him access.
This is your parents problem, and their ignoring it has just made it worse. You are not the parent and not responsible for raising him, don't let them put you in that position.

He needs counseling or it could get worse. There's a lot of good information on the net as brain and emotional studies are doing magic. Look up emotional intelligence. Here's a good site. trans4mind www com of course. You could teach him what you learn. You can channel your emotions into the mind for a near genius IQ, more joy, self esteem and better health, like turning a switch, rather than wasting the emotional energy for lower grades, duller thinking and poorer health, mental and physical. Best face it because it's apparently an emotional problem already. Scaring him is probably the problem, if that's the usual parenting technique.

the only bad thing is the tracking viruses that the sites put on your computer the boy is a normal curious boy that is not being told to much about sex and he wants to know more so it is research to him It is illegal for the attachments that show up as viruses on your computer and it is illegal for lots of things that what make things like this profitable if it was legal no one would mess with it and the trcking viruses would not be used either

These sites shouldn't be allowed, since obviously they are aimed at under-aged children. There is nothing wrong with porn for adults who can handle it, but for children I think it is a definite no no. There should be some agency they can be reported to.
