That must have realy hurt and probably still stings.

The depth of a burn determines its severity. First degree burns damage the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and cause pain, redness and swelling (erythema). Second degree burns damage the epidermis and the inner layer, the dermis, causing erythema and blistering. Damage from third degree burns extend into the hypodermis, causing destruction of the full thickness of skin with its nerve supply (numbness). Third degree burns leave scars and may cause loss of function and/or sensation.

I agree with some of the post. It looks like it is in the process of healing but I'm not a doctor. If you have not had it attended to see what they think, it maybe healing nicely or could have a slight infection. The outer red circle has not spead beyond the wound site, so is an indiction of the immune system doing well at warding off an infection. You may or may not want a skin graft this will depends on how well it eventually heals. So far so good. But keep on top of it.

Wash some potatoes and peel them. Take the raw peel and put it with the meat side down on the wound. Then put bandaid on it to hold it on place. Change peel and bandaid three times each day.

It's a well used method for that kind of burns, discover by a guy from india, that ran out of medicines at a hospital, during an emergency.

With potatoes you might even avoid a scar.

If you get infected, go to a doctor and ask for maggots, to clean up the wound.

It looks like scar tissue. See a doctor immediately. At this late date, it may not be possible to improve the appearance.

Not being rude but how could you let that burn go unseen to ?Please go and see a doctor ASAP because if you let it go much longer more then likely you will end up with a bad infection.
