Ok, this is not excatly a riddle but kind of one. I don't know the answer to this. 21st March, 21st June, 22nd September and 22nd December have all been given special names. What are the special names??? and why were they given such special names??? It's got something to do with geography but i don't know exactly what.

Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, Winter Soltice.

Spring Equinox--day and night are equal in length.
Summer Solstice--longest day and shortest night of the year.
Autumn Equinox--again, day and night are equal
Winter Solstice--Longest night and shortest day of the year.

Each day officially begins the season it is named for.

21st March- Astrological New Year's Day
21st June- Longest Day in Northern & shortest Day in Southern Hemisphere
22nd Sep-last day of the summer season in the Northern Hemisphere, and the last day of the winter season in the Southern Hemisphere.
22nd December- winter to begin in the northern hemisphere and summer to begin in the southern hemisphere

Hmmmm 22 September is officially the end of summer .........

they're all dates of the equinox for the seasons!!

theyre the first days of each of the seasons, but i thought it was the 21st for september and december too.....? o well
