the best thing to do - is don't be busy - be with each other - relax - talk. stop and just take the time to enjoy each other w/o having to be busy.
busy is a way to separate from each other.
maybe play a board game - maybe just talk - maybe just relax - listen to you kids - just stop and listen - relax.

At that age about all you can do is give them some toys in a play pen and sit it front of the TV set on the Cartoon Network. Maybe that will be enough to entertain them for a while. Good luck.

Hi ARMY WIFE,
1.Make finger paints- go to the basement if you have one cooler downstairs-then let them finger paint on paper, blank wrapping paper-can give gifts that way with little helpers,
1 1/2.plaster paris molds of little hands & feet(keepsakes)
2. pudding that way they can finger paint & have a treat all in one,-follow directions on box & refrigerate until ready to use.
3.make play doh, clay, maybe slime,
4.using empty clear small pop bottles-mix 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 3-4 drops of food coloring depending on how dark you want the color, fill rest of bottle with water-add glitter & glue the lids on-visual toys that they made with your help make-almost like the sea in a bottle--my grandson loved to make em-we found tiny ships, shells, pebbles. He'd tip them back & forth roll them across the floor, shake them. We had all kinda colors-objects inside & they last forever it seemed. We did with plastic zoo animals, toy soldiers, girls maybe beads, hearts, stars, flowers, butterflies just use your imagination. Glitter was used for those special bottles. Make sure glue sets overnight.
5. make finger puppets out of old socks-markers for to color, Gorilla glue to glue on those googly eyes, bells, yarn for hair, etc.
6.make the rock family or the stick family-large dad big mom, medium kids small kid & smaller-baby glue on a stick also use some of the above items for faces or use markers-draw on faces.
I hope these help & have a fun day. :0)

Basically keep cool. Playtime in the tub is a good idea, but be careful with the youngest.
