New Mexico! Santa Fe is beautiful and historic. It has fabulous restaurants and excellent hotels. You can explore the state and check out Taos, also historic and beautiful.
Further south are Ruidoso and Cloudcroft. THE LODGE in Cloudcroft is a romantic getaway.
Not expensive, no hassling with passports and beautiful weather.
