Actually a girl calico is very, very common, although A lot of calico owners do think their kitties are worth a million.

If female calico cats bring in big bucks then the animal shelter I work at would not be having any financial problems. 99 % of calicos are females and calico is as common as any other pattern of cat.

99.999% of calicos are girls, it's the 'boys' that are calico that are the rarities since it's gene linked to the female side. Most of the boy calicoes are sterile, and at one point I think it was Ringling brothers or PT Barnum who offered $500 for a fertile male calico, but he never paid it.

They aren't worth big bucks, they're just medical anomolies. The story hangs around, unfortunately, confusing people.

No Calico cats are really pretty, but....sorry no big bucks....male Calico's are very rare...I used to have one, but they tend to be sterile, so you couldn't breed them anyway.

I have two of them. I got them for free, so they're probably not going to bring in the bucks. They're incredibly common.
