Fly from the east coast to the west coast?

I'm flying from Charlotte, N.C. to San Francisco, C.A. on Sunday. I've flown from west coast to east coast and there was little to no turbulence.

it does not depend on direction it depends on the weather so there is no way of knowing. the airlines are fully aware of weather patterns and if its too bad, will adjust their course to avoid it don't worry
Enjoy your trip

Any time you cross a large mountain range (The Rockies in this case), there's a chance for turbulence.

Based on my own experience, and nothing really scientific, the turbulence seems to increase a little as the day gets warmer.

Depends on weather. Last year we flew from Harrisburg, PA to Vegas, no turbulence at all.
