I think you have to look for the triggers. Keep a headache diary and record your activities preceeding the headache, what you ate, that sort of thing. I found out that mine was pretty much triggered by certain preservatives in foods - MSG's, Nitrites, etc. - which alot of processed foods have. Another thing I was sensitive to bright light and sun glare could trigger them. Also hormone therapy which wouldn't be a problem you would have.

Migraine management is very complicated as different people have different triggers.
The first step in migraine management is to have the patient fill out a headache diary. This describes the signs and symptoms of the migraine as well as method of treatment, length of symptoms and possible triggers.
A headache diary with instructions for use can be found at: www.headaches.org on the educational resources tab.
Normal food issues include, but are not limited to, caffeinated products (ie, cola, coffee, tea, chocolate), aged cheese, wine, other alcohols, nuts, MSG, and more.
also under the educational resources is a headache topic list which has the complete diet related to chronic or recurrent headaches.
Activities to avoid also depend on your personal triggers; some people react badly to computer monitors, lighting is a particular problem (I am aggravated by fluorescent lights), most people are severely aggravated by bright sunlight.
Some people have exertion as a trigger for others it is stress and they can prevent a migraine by working out the stress.
I would recommend going to the source noted above and checking a few subjects. Most significantly look at How to talk to your headache doctor.
See your primary care doctor. If they seem to be unconcerned or just tell you to take an analgesic pain medication, ask to see a neurologist or headache specialist.

If you have ever had a full blown migraine, then you do not eat and do nothing other than lie down and stay there until you have to run to the bathroom to vomit. You can barely get up out of the bed for anything. If you are suffering from migraines from foods, then you have to find out what foods is causing them. I use an ice pack or heating pad on my head when it is really bad, and lie in a dark room with no noise. I also focus on my breathing so I can relax more. Sometimes I have to take a pain pill or have a shot they get so bad and unbearable.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Acidity and probably constipation/inflammation of intestines is cause of your H/A.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy food, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Look into some Nikken products. They've helped my friend considerably. Look at the website below. Their necklace, spot magnets on back of neck, sleep system, and PiMag water have all been shown to help. My friend wears the necklace, and hasn't had a migraine since she started wearing it.

i'm sorry to tell you that there is no general solution for this problem, because each case is unique, as each person is different. there are people that feel better if they don't eat chocolate, cheese, alcoholic drinks. there are people that get better with acupuncture and phisiotherapy. there's no way of get rid of hormonal-caused or wheather-caused migraines (as far as i know) but you can always hid in a dark quiet place. and, of course getting rid of stress helps too.
