At American Universities, we play drinking games with various television shows, or Newscasts. For example: President Bush gives an impromtu speech, we watch it, and each time Bush says "Uuuuh" we have to take a drink. On this board, each time someone asks an oft repeated question, we drink.. Hope this helps

And any rational person knows that in order to accept "Pascal's wager" one would have to accept it's premise ( that there is a god) Atheists are simply annoyed by this...

People are forgetting to say what they are drinking in these drinking games....some kind of alcoholic drink. You can make a drinking game like the others said by taking a drink of alcohol every time someone says or does a certain thing. The Pascal's Wager conversation here comes up very often, so people say they are taking a drink each time they see it written.

When someone writes a word between two * that is supposed to indicate that the person is doing (or pretending to do) whatever the word says. So *drinks* means that the person is having a drink or pretending to. People usually write *drinks* when the question asked is really silly or when it's a question that gets asked several times a day. It's an indication that they're ignoring the question.

And it's not just atheists who do this, other people do it too.

The thing is they keep bringing up Pascals Wager and everyone's kind of sick of it now. Pascal's Wager is complete and utter nonsense and assumes that believing in something is optional as opposed to a logical conclusion.

It's this forum's drinking game. When a frequently asked question comes up, we pretend to drink.

people do it when the question has been asked many times before or if it's just plain silly.

it's just a game. most of us aren't actually drinking (can't answer for everyone though).
