Exactly right don't go spending all your savings just something small and thoughtful and nothing on a big scale.
Maybe tickets to a sport he likes? A small thing to go with one of his hobbies?
Don't push the boat out because you will seem over keen and it is only five weeks who knows what could happen.

i would buy him a gift card and a card saying something nice to him, that only he will understand. I would also take him out for dinner to a place you know he likes and he will know that it comes from the heart

Not alot! I think the best thing to do would be to treat him to a night out, that way you benefit as well as you would be with him. Also, if he is a nice bloke I don't think he would expect you to spend a fortune on him!

I wouldn't expect anything if I were him. 5 weeks is nothing. Just give him a massage or get him something thoughtfull.

maybe a collage of the good times you had together even it was just for 5 weeks. within that short span of time, i am sure you became big part of each other's life... i hope you captured those memories.
