Actually, i know a LOT of people who actually enjoy the taste of alcohol. And its not just beer, vodka is tastless and you can add fruity taste, and wine can be delicious underthe right circumstances. But I dont like the taste of beer or most alcohols, however, I drink to have fun with some of my friends at parties, i drink because it can numb things, and its associated with a view of wild fun so drinking, even just in your livin room, can be a little enticing. (fun)

You answered your own question. Because it is appealing to some. Actually if you took the average citizen, I would be willing to bet more people drink then don't. I drink Vodka, and have tried several different types, never came across a bitter one though. Is there a drink in particular that you are referring to?

I have been a drunk my whole life and can't recall ever drinking any bitter alcohol. Alcohol is alcohol it all tastes the same. You must mean BEVERAGES containing alcohol. I wish folks would get a little more specific on here.

I don't drink bitter alcohol, I drink vodka, wine, and other sweet tasting drinks. Who said all alcohol is bitter? People drink it because they can. We have this little thing called 'freedom of choice'

Well, it really does taste good for some. I love a good whiskey. Theres something in the taste that's really awesome. Others drink to get drunk. Others drink to forget. And I'm sure theres alot of people to drink to impress others. Never never do that. Drink if you want to, of you like it, if you don't, don't. Not thats its great for you anyway. Rock on.

i don't drink any bitter alcohol, i like rum, vodka, schnapps, wine....
but i suppose those that do like the bite or burn of it.
and i'm not sure what most it's not applealing to... wine and spirits is a multi billion dollar industry
