I am having a really big wedding as in like about 300+ guest coming to my wedding. And Im trying to make it as personal (yet elegant) as possible. I thought of having pictures of me and my fiance from baby pictures to present day pictures placed at the table where the place cards are at I have also thought of maybe having pictures of my parents wedding day as well as his parents wedding day pictures. Both of our parents are still married so it wouldnt be awkward for them. Do you think that would be nice?

It's a lovely idea. I've seen it done many times and it's always been a great addition to the day. Please consider this: People will be moving through or around the placecard table on their way to their tables. It can be a high traffic area, and prone to congestion. Some folks may really need to get off of their feet, out of the heat, to the bathroom, etc. . ., so give the pictures there own location, where your guests can gather, admire and reminice about you and your husband to be. Think of how a museum sets its works of art apart from one another, to give viewers space in which to admire them. Give your guests the same consideration and allow them to take their time and be comfortable while they enjoy your photos.
If you have the time, you could place photos that have you with another family member at that family members table. For instance, your favorite picture of you and your mom would be framed and on the table at her seat. Below or beside the photo would be a hand written note to your mom with a personal feeling. You could have a picture of you and your husband to be in front of his parents and a note telling them why you love this young man so and what your hope for the future with him will be. He could do the same if you like.
There won't be a dry eye in the house, I Promise.

I like the idea but I'm just wondering... are you putting the same pictures on each table or different pictures at different tables?
I think a slideshow presentation would be a bit better, having a big screen where people could see while at their table or walking around would be a lot better IMO. You could do a LOT more pictures for a cheaper price than printing them out for the tables.

i love pictures and love this idea. i love seeing how people have changed/yet remained the same over the years. i would ask other people before i put their pictures on tables, but i think it would be really nice. :) i would also make sure that either all the picture frames went together or went with the theme of the picture itself.

That sounds like a great idea. I've also heard the idea, and also considering, of having a slide show of the bride and groom from birth to present. It's kind of the same idea you have, it's just a slide show.

well thats nice
here in egypt we do this but we display it on a screen so everyone sees it with a different song with each ones picture, and then we combine pictures of them both and end it with a picture of their engagement party.
its so popular now here and elegant.

i think the pictures of you and him is a good idea however i dont think the others are as such because this is your day and i think it should be about you and him your parents lived it now you live it and i hope you stay happy forever
