If you put her in a new cage she is just going to be confused for a day or two. It will help if you transfer her house and any toys so she has something familiar. She may go a bit crazy looking for her fod stash , so make sure there is food for her available.

She will like the extra room once she explores a bit.

Of course,the larger the cage,the better the quality of life for the hamster.

Very wise. People always upgrade their pets cage once they think it needs it. It is great that you are being responsible and giving your pet enough room.

when i bought my hamster a new cage i transfered some of the old shaving and put just a little into each corner of the new cage as well under her little dome. for familiarity.

Sure, she should be fine. There is nothing in a cage change that is likely to harm her. All rodents are fairly resilient.

More room is always a better thing. Animals get bored, depressed and claustrophobic just like people.
