I'm trying to fix a win xp computer that asks for the disk after a couple hours of running because of an unknown problem. something with pci. I could also use a win2k disc for sfc on another computer. Im not looking to do any illegal copying with a key. These computers have been through so much they did not keep up with their discs.

Sorry to say the legal answer to this question is to buy a new copy. The purchaser of the original copy is responsible for keeping up with it. Unfortunately the manufacturer isn't going to make another copy available at no charge, with or without a key. That goes for Apple as well it isn't just a Microsoft issue.

about all you are going to find is illegal, and probably virus infected stuff from peer to peer services. If you are planning to use the product key on the bottom or back of the computer, you are going to need the OEM version of xp, I suggest contacting the manufacturer and see if you can get the restore disk, if not, people sell oem restore disks on ebay for next to nothing.

Legally, you can't download them from anywhere.

Illegally, almost every torrent site on the internet has them.
