What PRIVILEGES do you get if you are a CLUB MEMBER?

I get no green fees... big plus when wanting to play twice a day. I don't have to set tee times for the most part except on sunday or sat. morn... It's also good if I only have time to shoot two or three holes because it still doesn't cost anything... No golf cart fees... reduced rate for guests... no cost, no limit range balls... reduced entry to all tournaments... at golf outings for members they sometimes have dinners and such...
It is really worth it if you love to play and have the time to get your money's worth out of it...

I've played at private clubs and pace of play and quality is the huge difference. Every time I sneak on a really nice private club, I play much better than at the muni.

1. The ball fluffs up nicely in the fairway.
2. The tees always have soft grass and not too many divots.
3. Greens hardly have pitch marks because people are good to good greens.
4. Your ball rolls very true and faster at high quality greens.
5. You never have marshals roaming around micromanaging the course.
6. You hardly have slow play because rich people tend to play better and are more aware of pace.
7. You usually get free tournaments, where everything is organized for you.
8. You usually get free driving range balls.
9. Private golf clubs usually have better designs so you never get bored.
10. If you look in the bushes, you’ll find loads of Pro V1s!

There are some negatives though.

1. You have to shoot the s**t and act fake.
2. There are a lot of unwritten rules like driving fancy car, dressing in fancy clothes, come from a certain family name…
3. You have to deal with more competitive and rule-crazy golfers.

Conditions are ususally better, pace of play, better golfers, USUALLY there is not as many hackers there. The ettiquite is a little better typcally as well. Some places have the benefit of caddies, playing whenever you want and not paying, pool, tennis, good food, social events. Inquire at a local private club and they would love to tell you everything they offer.
