You might be surprised. I know a lot of people have said no, but I know a couple of drivers and when they get bored they jump online at the track.
I think almost all of the tracks have wireless set up in the garage for the crews, I know they do in the media center and the media boxes. One of my friends was actually emailing me out of the Lowe's media box during a test session cause he got bored while they had the car in the garage working on it. That and all teams have wireless cards as well. The same driver that was emailing me got online before a Busch race and was goofing off playing games, answering emails and going onto chat boards to relieve stress.

So, you never know who's watching these boards......

It would not surprise me to hear that at least ONE of the drivers has been on this forum, looking at questions and answers. If not the drivers themselves someone in the vast Nascar organization surely has signed on and checked it out. Hope they enjoyed it!

I have read good answers on here from all kinds of doctors in the health section. I have also seen a few questions or answers from entertainers in the music section,etc. So of course the drivers read them ever now and then. They are just human.

No doubt that some of the drivers-owners-and other personnell read this forum.
For the most part they laugh their AXX off at the trolls and a large percentage of the answers.But there are a few legit fans who's answers are read with intrest.

Sometimes, if there's nothing to do on the truck.( truck series)
I don't know about the cup boys.
But some of the answers that come out of here are pretty good, some are funny, some are not. its also a great way to find out just what people are thinking about nascar. Anyway I think its pretty cool, I get to meet new friends, stay in touch with old friends and it helps when we do have DOWN TIME.

I do believe that the drivers have real lives out side of racing. If they read all the stuff here, I hope that they take all of this mumbo jumbo with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of the younger drivers have poked their heads in. The adolescent troll nonsense probably drove them off, though.

The vast majority I would say do NOT look at forums like this. Why take a chance of seeing something really negative, nasty, and personal, when you have no way to reply or defend yourself? If they just want an ego boost they can always look at the driver-specific forums at nascar.com.

I was present when a well-known driver in another series was asked a similar question about internet forums. He said he didn't look at them, it was a distraction he didn't need. He did read editorials which mentioned him, and also looked at "his" email and fan letters (both screened by a secretary).

I doubt it seriously. I mean come on when they are away from the track, they just want to relax and enjoy themselves and do things like play golf or go fishing. And when they are at the track they are just so focused on the race. I don't think many drivers care about stuff like this.
