I have always wanted to work out my abs but every time i do a situp or a crunch my back cracks, EVERY time i go down it cracks, not just the first few. its uncomfortable and hurts, how can i stop it, and is it bad? Thanks!

stop! and go see a doctor...! you may have a big back problem and may be injuring it worse! so if I was you i would stop and see a doctor soon.

I always had the same problem, I would strain my neck and back more than I would work out my abs. I invested in an Ab Lounge...and it's AMAZING I absolutely LOVE it. It is definitely worth the money!!!!
