For the past 2 days my 5 month old puppy has had diahrrea which is a little bit bloody, vomitted 2 or 3 times and is refusing to eat.
We took him to the vet this morning and immediately got him tested for Parvo, and the results were negative. He also tested to see if he is dehydrated, and he was not. The vet told us it is some sort of infection and just gave us antibiotics to adminster to the puppy 2 times a day. We gave it to him twice today and he hasn't been eating, but has been drinking. (the vet said he will eat when he is feeling a bit better ) He had some diahrrea today but only tonight it started getting a little bloody. And he hasn't vomited today either. I can't sleep because i keep worrying about him...can anyone give me any tips on what this infection might be so i can ask the vet about it!?

You've done the best thing for him by taking him to the vet. Please give the meds some time to work. I know how much you want to do more but you've got to give it some time. Try fixing some cooked hamburger & rice for him to eat. That's something my vet told me a long time ago & I've used it everytime one of mine gets loose stools. Just feed a couple tablespoons at a time, not alot. This will help settle his stomach & firm up his stool. In no time, he'll start acting normal & you can relax.

Best bet is to call vet w/any new, vet has seen the puppy and can share his recommendations, prognosis, and any side effects of medications (some cause drowsiness). Also check regarding the best food considering the circumstances. Most dogs are weaned by 8 weeks, not sure how old your puppy is, but it might need more nourishment than milk can provide. When my dogs are ill, and not eating, I switch them to boiled chicken and plain rice. You might try wrapping a hot water bottle to provide warmth, if you can't get one, try using a towel freshly out of the dryer. Good luck!!!

See if you can get him to drink some Pedialyte( mix it with a little chicken or beef broth if you have to) and try a little boiled chicken breast or lean ground beef with cooked rice.Cottage cheese and plain yogurt ( not diet yogurt) are also good for diarrhea, and the yogurt helps to restore good bacteria in the gut.Danactive liquid is good, too.
I don't know what the infection is,it might be giardia or coccidia. What is the name of the antibiotic? That would help in figuring out what the infection is.

I would suggest getting a second opinion from another vet. Never hurts to have more than one vet give their diagnosis. One vet may notice something the other did not.
My favorite meal for puppies/dogs that aren't feeling 100% is a nice warm bowl of cooked chicken & rice.

I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy. I can't tell you whats going on. But maybe give him a little canned pumpkin or oats that will help his diahrrea. Good luck and I will keep you pup in my thoughts.
