My husband and I would like to have a few work suits tailored in Beijing while we are on a holiday (4 days).

Can anyone recommend a quality tailor in Beijing that has experience with western style suits? One who is timely and has a great finished product?

A name and address would be much appreciated. If you know of one that speaks English as well - your a legend :)

I appreciate your time and answer.

On the 3 rd floor of the Yashow Clothing Market in Sanlitun are a number of tailoring shops, more or less all have similar standards in western clothing try the one facing the escalator, reputed to be a good one.Yet another good one is Lisa Tailors in 3.3 Plaza contiguous to the Yashow, they do suits ,shirts etc in 24 hours service.

Yep, Yashow/Yaxiu is your best bet. I had some shirts made for me for work there and the pure cotton ones cost me 100 kuai each (£6/$12) I think a whole suit is about 1000 kuai (£60/$120). Ask for Angel and tell her Ai De sent you! She's on the third floor opposite the escalators just like the previous answerer said. You'll need to go to Chongwenmen station and then get a taxi. These are the characters you'll need: Yaxiu: 雅秀, the driver will know exactly where you mean. Good luck!

The hotels there can usually get that done for you very quickly...and they speak English!
