As an intern, I get 2 weeks. My next four years, I'll have at least 4 weeks per year.
Once I'm out and practicing, I should have 4-6 weeks minimum.
From the doctors I know, once established in practice, 6 weeks is a common amount for time off.

My current contract calls for three weeks' vacation and two weeks' CME time (back to school, in a way). I'm hoping I'll really get one of those weeks this year, but it's looking doubtful, and they don't roll over into next year. One of the problems with being a true professional is that the profession comes before the personal.

This varies a great deal. In my 20 year career as a doctor, I would go several years without a single week off. It depends on
whether you are in private practice or working for someone else who sets your vacation time.
