Life is such a mix. Someone once wrote (paraphrase): "A child that is born into a gross family is like an orchid trying to survive in an Arctic winter".
It's funny (sort of)...when I read your question, the first thought I had was "crap shoot". Ha ha! Oh well...
My mind can go into 'dark paces'...I seem to have no control over it's crazy antics!
O.k., now that I have said all of that. Life is a strange kind of movement. It is a real mix. Sweet, hardworking ,wonderful families have been wantonly murdered in the night (millions of them). Did they fit there? In the BIG PICTURE, we could say "yes", but it doesn't seem that way on the surface. Not at all. We cringe against it.
This is the good and evil scenario being played out. It has been going on since "the beginning of time". Christ supposedly said something like, "The suffering have always been with us". He didn't indicate that this was going to change...look what "they" did to him!
So, what do we do? "To leave this world a little better because you have lived" (someone said this(?) is the best we can do. That's what I have tried to do...and continue trying to do. It seems to be in this one's nature!
Eckhart Tolle (one of our great heart/minds) says that we must "take steps" to do what we can do (in a situation) then we must not let the mind overwork the rest. It is 'what is' and to strain and stress is "unnecessary suffering".
Chameleon, thanks for caring so much! We need more little lizards like you! :D

It is similar to the zen saying ''When the shoe fits in the shoe is forgotten''.It doesnt matter where and how your life is going on it is that you have to fit yourself into it .Then you can forget that your are leading a life of misery or happiness, you are just flowing with life and you are watching the LIFE flowing in you.

Yes. But I think most people may not see that they are right where they want to be. That they have created the circumstances that they are in. Particularly true for adults. children have a little less choice.

I totally agree with it. We are where we are because of our past thoughts and deeds, and where we are is exactly where we need to be to continue moving towards salvation. Even if it doesn't make sense at the time, if we will look back later, we can usually see how it did make sense.

That's accepting reality, embracing the flowing river of life instead of swimming against the current

it's like: just remember, wherever yo go in life, there you are.
Can't argue with that. And you "fit in" in the sense that that is where you are supposed to be at any given time, to learn, to laugh, to love, whether it feels comfortable at the time or not.
thanks

Makes sense to me. Just wish I felt that way. Although there are things happening that tell me you are right. It's also true I think that God is always on time. It may not be on my time, but always right on His time.
Blessed Be and thank you for sharing.

I think that every moment of our lives is ultimately perfect in that it is exactly what we are supposed to be doing. Even if it doesn't seem important at the time..it is all part of life's bigger plan for us.

I believe that each consciousness is perfectly suspended in the infinite by all other possibility....and it is the individual's destiny to awaken to the profundity of that......and be ecstatically thankful for it......
