I remember he said it and the war supporters also stated this war in Iraq will be a frosty cakewalk. Nothing to worry about. The insurgents are "Dead enders". Insurgents won't last a month facing the USA military. That was said four and one half years ago.

Yes, I do. He was right that the war against the Iraqi army under Saddam would not last very long.
The "Peace" in Iraq has taken quite a while to settle down.
It looks like the new strategy that is being applied is having a measurable effect.
Hunt down the terrorists, drive them out of their strongholds, take their supplies.
Iraqi sheiks are starting to realize that the terrorist are just killing Iraqis and not convincing the Americans to leave.
World War II ended in 1945 and there are still U.S. troops in Germany.

Do you remember when MacArthur said the troops would be home from Korea before Christmas?
For that matter name a war that the ending date was ever announced and it actually ended on that day.
I really don't understand the point of your question.

No. But I can remember President William Jefferson Clinton standing in front of a Joint Session of the Congress and telling them and the American people we would be sending troops into Bosnia for a period of one year and one year only. They're still there!

well anyone who thought this would be in and out really quick were fools who could not see the big picture. i mean, did you really think halliburton was building these huge bases(cities) all over iraq just for a few days. hell, no. this was an investment decision for them. it was about money, not love for a country. hell, halliburton after making billions then decided to move their headquarters to the middle east to avoid paying taxes to the same government that awarded the sorry bastards with the no bid contract.

Can any of you out there remember when Erudite ever said anything that was even remotely non-inflammatory or trollish? Neither can I.

Can any of you out there remember when Erudite decided he was fed up with Yahoo Answers, and swore that he was leaving to haunt some other chat groups and would never return? I can.

Go piss up someone else's rope, troll.
