I'm not just having trouble sleeping. I found that my appetite has dropped dromatically, I cant sit still when I am awake, and when I'm thinking or in conversation my mind races and everything is flashing through my head all at once. This is bad, because I've kinda developed a speech impedement from it. I'm not ADD or ADHD. It's like the adrenaline just wont stop flowing, but I'm not doing anything to rush it. I dont think it is insomia because my body and my mind are functioning just fine and in unison. Please someone, What the Hell is wrong with me?? This has been going on for a few days now and I just want to go back to normal...what ever that is.

This sounds like a very bad anxiety episode I had. People could not understand me I was talking so fast, and I was doing something at every second of every day, as if when I stopped I would die. It may also be a manic episode linked to bipolar disorder. If it continues for more than a week I would talk to a mental health specialist or your primary care doc, because these are warning signs of a manic episode. It may stop as suddenly as it began no matter what it is. For the time being I would try to do calming things like stretching or listening to calm music. If you sit and inhale deeply through your nose, hold it a sec, then exhale through your nose 10-20 times it may help to calm down a bit, especially if you are feeling really agitated.
I hope you feel better soon! but seriously if it goes on for a week let your Dr. know

Hi Gemini,
I agree with suggestion 1, sounds like acute(intense/sharp) anxiety. What type of anxiety is not as easily clear eg. generalised anxiety, social anxiety, social anxiety with specifc phobia(s), generalized anxiety with panic symptoms or even PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). You don't think it's ADD or ADHD good, but have it checked out as soon as possible.
Good luck and a cure is just around the corner. You may or may not require anti-anxiety meds for some time which will have among other things have a calming effect on your nervous system. This however needs to be established by a psychiatrist, so get a referral from your GP and explain everything to him or her. Investigate if you can learn to relax your mind without meds. Your doctor can advise you best.
Best of luck and God's speed.

Could be ADHD or Bipolar. But that may not be the case. If this has gone on for only a few days. If this has been going on longer, well then you have a problem.
It may just be stress. Stress can cause all of these symptoms. Try to relax. Find someone to talk to. A check up at your GP might not be a bad idea. If that checks out and you are still feeling this way, go see a shrink.

Anxiety, BiPolar Disorder, depression, could also be a problem with your thyroid. Best bet is to go to the dr., tell him/her the symptoms and take it from there. But, don't let them brush it off as depression without doing other tests. Drs. now a days seem to think depression is the cause of everything that ails us....just easier for them to say that then to do anything else.

Something you are doing or eating or anticipating the past few days must be different.
Have you taken any medication or suppliment or alcohol or illegal drug that is new?
Are you expecting to do something new? - New school year-
leaving on a trip - moving - buying a house - going to court - been in a car accident...?
Such symptoms just don't start-up all on their own.
See your Dr. in the morning.

Sounds a little like Bi-polar disorder. Similiar symptoms can also occur in sufferers of Post Traumatic Stress disorder. You should have yourself checked out.
